Aslam butter chicken at Matia Mahal Road in front of Jama Masjid Gate No. 1 Old Delhi is renowned for its unique and delicious Butter chicken which attracts local and Tourists alike . However Apart from butter chicken you can enjoy other dishes too here like Chicken , mutton seek kabab , Shami Kabab , briyani , paneer tikka , Fish tikka etc . But they have expertise in Butter chicken . The way of making butter chicken here is totally different from rest of the india . There are several reasons why it gained so much fame :

Flavored Marinade : The chicken is marinated in a blend of spices , lemons , and yoghurt which tenderize the chicken and add deep flavour . As far as I know Marination with secret spices contribute to the distinct taste of Aslam chicken.

Tandoor Cooking : One of the factor that made Aslam Chicken apart from others is its method of cooking . The marinade chicken is traditionally inserted into a skewer and roasted in coal oven which imparts smoky flavour to the chicken

Creamy gravy : Its made with a combination of secret spices , Curd , Amul butter . Once the chicken is roasted well , it is dipped in the Aslams Cream Gravy and Served to the customer

Overall the combination of family recipe , Tandoor Cooking , Curd & Butter gravy and dedication to maintain consistent quality has made Aslam’s chicken So Renowned in India

When the weather is like this – with the sun playing a gloomy game of hide and seek – you yearn for something warm. The fog around you is so dense that you need your own internal heater and light. So what do you do but head for some hot, bone-warming food?

I went to one corner of Delhi, where a gentleman called Aslam has been warming the cockles of foodie-hearts for a while now. He is a wizard when it comes to grilling and cooking chicken. He has found his own wonderful way of presenting a dish that is neither a tandoori chicken nor the butter chicken that was pioneered by Moti Mahal. It is Aslam’s version of a tandoori butter chicken.
